After action was canceled in Attica due to rain on Friday, April 22nd, racing at “the track that action built” in Fremont on Saturday, April 23rd was good to go with lots of sunshine and cool temperatures. Caleb Griffith went out early in the Ray Marshall Motorsports machine with evolving track conditions and his time showed it, with mid pack time. This would set the tone for the rest of the evening for coming from behind. Caleb came in with a third-place finish; guaranteeing him a spot in the feature. A 10th place starting spot is the card that Griffith was dealt. Weaving his way up through the pack, he was able to put six more cars behind him; capturing a fourth-place finish.
On 4/16/16, Caleb Griffith raced at Fremont Speedway for their season opener. Griffith had mechanical issues early and qualified with no power steering. Battling time to repair the car problems, he was able to make the A-Main straight out of his heat. Starting in 17th spot in the feature with all issues corrected, Caleb sailed past 10 cars, but ran out of laps and finished in 7th place.
On 4/15/16, the sprint cars converged on Attica Raceway Park, with 39 cars vying for a spot in the A-Main. Starting the night with a good qualifying effort with the 4th quickest and a heat win, the Ray Marshall Motorsports team, driven by Caleb Griffith, was on a roll. The dash gave us a 4th place start in the A-Main, against the All Stars, and a 5th place finish.
